Privacy policy
Last updated: 2026-07-21
This privacy statement explains which personal data HuisLens ("HuisLens", "we") processes, why, and what rights you have. We process as little data as possible and never sell personal data.
1. Data controller
HuisLens, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 42119920, established at Brucknerlaan, 5011 DH Tilburg. For privacy questions: contact@huislens.nl.
2. Data we process
- Customer data: company name, contact person, email address and (optional) phone number you provide with a request or subscription.
- Payment and invoice data: processed by our payment provider Mollie B.V. (Netherlands). We receive only confirmation and invoice details, not full card or bank account data.
- Website statistics: anonymised, cookieless visit statistics via our own Umami instance. No individual visitor is identified. See our cookie policy.
- Language preference: a functional cookie remembering whether you view the site in Dutch or English.
Home and address data in our product is derived from public government registers (BAG) and professional building data sources (including EP-Online). This concerns information about homes, not about named residents. The lists are meant for addressed mail ("to the residents of") and door-to-door, not for telemarketing.
3. Purposes and legal bases
- Delivering your subscription and address lists (basis: performance of the contract).
- Invoicing and administration (basis: legal obligation).
- Contacting you about your request (basis: performance of the contract or legitimate interest).
- Improving the website via anonymised statistics (basis: legitimate interest).
4. Retention periods
Invoice and administrative data is kept for seven years, as required by Dutch tax law. Other customer data is kept for the duration of the subscription and deleted within a reasonable period afterwards, unless a legal obligation requires otherwise.
5. Processors and third parties
We share data only with parties processing on our behalf, under a data processing agreement:
- Mollie B.V. (Netherlands) for payments and invoicing.
- Our hosting provider for running the website.
- Umami (self-hosted) for cookieless statistics.
6. Transfers outside the EEA
Our processors are established in the EU and process data within the European Economic Area. Should a processor process data outside the EEA, appropriate safeguards apply, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection and data portability. Send your request to contact@huislens.nl. We respond within the statutory period.
8. Filing a complaint
If you disagree with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
9. Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss or unlawful processing.
10. Changes
We may update this statement. The current version is always on this page, with the date of last change at the top.
